"ITALIANS ABROAD: BRAINS WITHOUT BORDERS"

On September 30, the Italian Medical Society, represented by Giuseppe Preziosi (h1.29) of the attached video), attended a meeting held in the Chamber of Deputies and organized by Senator Laura Garavini, representative in the Senate of Italians abroad. Together with other Italian doctors from Germany and Switzerland, we have analyzed the reasons for the medical exodus and what measures could be taken to encourage the return of those who wish. In particular, in order to ensure that qualifications and experience are adequately recognized, including through bureaucratic facilities and the strengthening of professional networks. The proposals put forward have taken into consideration the feedback of our members. Pending developments on how to exit the United Kingdom from the European Union, we propose to use all diplomatic and professional channels, which we have created and strengthened over the years, so that any problems may arise. In particular for the maintenance of a bi-directional flow of doctors who want to train or move to the United Kingdom, with all the side aspects that these flows determine.

ALESSANDRO BELLUZZO, NEW PRESIDENT OF THE ICCIUK

Yesterday Alessandro Belluzzo was elected President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the United Kingdom. He replaces Leonardo Simonelli, who has chaired the Chamber continuously for the past 25 years and has been appointed President Emeritus and member of the Executive Committee.
Belluzzo is a 42-year-old professional from Verona who has been living in London for 15 years, dealing with the interests of Italian families and businesses that live and invest in the UK, he has been elected to the Chamber for the next three years.
