Elisa Roccia is a Biomedical Engineer currently doing a PhD at the Centre for Doctoral Training in Medical Imaging of King’s College London, and she is based at St Thomas’ Hospital. In her PhD project she works towards the development of novel methods for multi-modality PET/MRI cancer imaging in collaboration with Siemens Healthcare.
She previously worked as a research engineer at Vision RT, UK medical imaging company, and has an internship experience at Columbia University, New York City, US, in a medical imaging laboratory of the Department of Engineering.
She received her BSc degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Trieste, Italy, and completed her MSc studies in Bioengineering with the University of Padova, Italy.
Elisa is also an active member of the Early Career Researchers and Mentoring group of the Association of Italian Scientists in the UK (AISUK).
