Isokinetic

Established in 1987, the Isokinetic Network is a FIFA medical center of excellence which consists of eight clinics in seven cities: London (http://www.isokinetic.com/en/sports-rehab/london/), Bologna, Milan (Navigli and Vivaio), Rimini, Rome, Turin, Verona. The headquarters and the Education and Research Department are located in Bologna, Italy. The main objective of the Isokinetic Medical Group is to offer complete and fast recovery from injuries through a multidisciplinary approach and a combination of rehabilitation facilities, including rehabilitation gyms, pools and fields. The mission is to follow the patient from the first day after an injury to the last day when returning to the team. Each patient is managed by a “case manager”, the sports medicine physician who coordinates the medical team and plans the entire rehabilitation process, with up to two rehabilitation sessions per day until function has been fully restored and the player can return to play. The centre has a major commitment to sport and exercise medicine, generating research in the field of sporting and activity based injuries that is particularly focused on recovery after cartilage surgery, ACL rehabilitation, return to sport, muscle injury treatment and platelet-rich plasma in the treatment of tendon injuries. Isokinetic Medical Group also has a strategic partnership with FC Barcelona. http://www.isokinetic.com/it/

“Thinking in terms of measurable outcomes pushes our collective ambition for a better recovery of patient injuries.”

News from Isokinetic Medical Group

Isokinetic Medical Group is proud to announce that the 28th Isokinetic Medical Group Conference will be held in London, Wembley Stadium on April 27th – 29th, 2019 on  “Football Medicine meets the Universe of Sport”.
We believe that the Football Medicine Community has so much to learn from other sports. Our Conference therefore seeks to study in depth what other sports can teach us.

Sport always seeks a competitive edge. With the global explosion in the interest and investment in Football Medicine and Science over the past decade, many sports have approached Football clubs and organisations, and have started to compare notes on training facilities, implementation of innovation and the recruitment of new medical and performance staff from around the world. This conference seeks to further bring global sport closer together and promote even more transfer of knowledge and best practice in order to improve the health, athletic development and lifetime performance of the world’s athletes.
